British Curry Awards win number 4!

We’re on a roll; we’ve won another award!

’Best in the North West‘ again at the British Curry Awards. It was completely unexpected and we’re so pleased to have won.

A few of the team made the trip down to the glitzy bash in Battersea, south London on Monday 26th November to support the event and other nominees but we were really shocked when our name was read out!  This is the fourth time we’ve won the award but it’s still really special.  The British Curry Awards are the biggest in the industry and we’re so proud to have won.

Even Prime Minister David Cameron is a fan of the awards and recognises how important they are.  In a speech for the awards he said, “It’s often said that curry is Britain’s national dish and it’s easy to see why. It’s not just the flavour served up in the 1,000s of curry restaurants across the country, it is the welcome too. Those who work in the curry industry enliven Britain’s high streets, boost local economies and contribute to local communities.”

It was a great night and we got to see lots of friends, chat to other restaurant owners, share ideas and even met a celebrity or two including Dragon Theo Paphitis and award hosts BBC presenter Jennie Bond and celebrity impersonator Rory Bremner. We're so excited to bring our shiny new trophy back to the restaurant – although we think we may need a bigger award cabinet!
